Screen Printing

Over the Summer I decided to listen again to some of the sound recordings I had made for the  Sound wave project I started  a couple of years ago. I have always felt that there were a huge number of stories still to investigate but I needed a little time to mull over how I could progress and not just continue with the same body of work.

It's a funny thing to return to the same things with a different perspective and, about the same time, I did the same with silk screen printing. Here is the result

I saw this and a series of Andrea's works at Southmead hospital today. Completely blown away! Was in such a rush (appointments, car parking etc) that I couldn't dwell on the pieces in the way they deserved. I hope to have other opportunities to see Andrea's work - it deserves wider critical interest.

this silkscreen print is captivating. The boldness, the balance, the chinese and the woodcut and so many more images it evokes.
Love it!

There are so many small businesses out there trying to make brands as well they are paying local printers to do this, which is totally good. If someone have the budget to do so. But if starting with a shoestring budget then DIY is must the way to go.

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don’t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.

an interesting work of art to see, but my question is whether the results obtained on the silk block are comparable to the results obtained when screened on cotton cloth?
all want to ask, why the master used for meyablon must use powder ink? or laser or digital print ... why can't just use wet ink? or injection ink?
