Held within Somerset Archives is a collection of ancient manuscripts owned by Axbridge & District Museum. Spanning hundreds of years the documents embrace skills of traditional craftsmen. My artworks are illustrations of stories from Axbridge’s historic past. Created as paper cuts to reference insect damage caused to the original manuscripts the designs feature artefacts from the Museum’s displays. In the centre of each piece is a QR code which links to a recording of the original text.
