Had a really good day today teaching memory drawings to Severnside Art Club with my friend Clare Thatcher.
Quite a few people turned up and we had an enjoyable afternoon. Surprisingly I hadn't realised how much this workshop would be linked to my current animation project (more on that soon), its made me think of all those precious memories as pieces of social history that need to be saved. I don't know about a degree project I think this could be a life's work. I am hoping to get permission from Severnside Art Club to post a few pictures here soon.

I was very kindly invited to Thornbury Art Club today to give a little talk about my practice and teach a memory drawing workshop with my friend and painter Clare Thatcher.
Thornbury Art Club were very welcoming and I feel we all learnt something from the day. Clare and I will be going to Severnside Art Club next month so we will see how Memory Drawings II is received |
